About Carbolic Acid

Phenol (Carbolic Acid) is a white, volatile crystalline compound with the molecular formulaCHOH and a molecular weight of 94.11 g/mol. Also known as carbolic acid, it is an aromatic organic acid consisting of a phenyl group bonded to a hydroxyl group. Phenol exhibits a sweet and tarry odor, with a boiling point of 181.7C and a density of 1.07 g/cm.
